The delegation included comrades: Hoang Nguyen Dinh, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City; Nguyen Van Dong, Director of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religion of Ho Chi Minh City; and Doan Van Dong, Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.

On behalf of the city's leadership, Comrade Dang Minh Thong extended his best wishes to Venerable Danh Lung and all monks and Buddhist followers for a peaceful and happy Vesak season. He respectfully thanked and acknowledged the Venerable's contributions to Vietnamese Buddhism as well as the development of Ho Chi Minh City.
The comrade expressed his hope that in the coming time, Venerable Danh Lung and the monks and Buddhists will continue to uphold the fine traditions to work together in building a more developed Ho Chi Minh City.
The comrade wished Venerable Danh Lung good health and encouraged him to continue motivating monks and Buddhist followers to unite, cooperate, and share responsibility with the Ho Chi Minh City authorities; and to share, support, and help those in difficult circumstances.

In response to the delegation's sentiments, Venerable Danh Lung extended his best wishes for good health to the city's leaders; expressing his confidence that the city's leadership team would always remain united and work together to lead, guide, and manage the city towards further development, a peaceful society, and an improved quality of life for its people.
