Leaders of Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee work with state-owned enterprises

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Huynh Van Son and leaders of departments and branches worked at Ben Luc Water Supply and Urban Services Joint Stock Company.

At Ben Luc Water Supply and Urban Services Joint Stock Company, the company's leaders said that in 2024, total revenue reached VND 86,468 million, exceeding the plan by 10.84%; pre-tax profit reached VND 16,670 million, exceeding the plan by 19.42%. Entering 2025, revenue in the first 6 months of the year reached more than VND 38.6 billion, equal to 50.9% of the yearly plan. These are positive results, reflecting the great efforts of the staff and employees in maintaining stable production and business activities, meeting the clean water needs of local people.

However, in response to new requirements in water supply, the company proposed that the Provincial People's Committee allow the conversion of the functions of An Thanh Water Supply Station and Hamlet 1B Water Supply Station in Thanh Phu Commune into booster stations, exploiting surface water sources to more effectively serve the daily needs of the people.

In addition, in Hamlet 3, Binh Duc Commune, due to limited clean water resources and no surface water pipeline system, the company proposed that the Provincial People's Committee consider creating conditions to continue to maintain the existing water supply station in the long term, ensuring the right to use clean water of people in the area.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Huynh Van Son highly appreciated the efforts and achievements of Ben Luc Water Supply and Urban Services Joint Stock Company . He emphasized that, along with production and business tasks, the company needs to continue to maintain a close coordination relationship with local authorities, strengthen the organization and operations in a streamlined, efficient manner, aiming for sustainable development.

At the working session with Long An Water Supply and Sewerage Joint Stock Company (LAWACO), the delegation heard a report on its operations. Accordingly, LAWACO is currently assigned by the Provincial People's Committee to exploit, treat and supply clean water to serve the daily and production needs of people, urban areas, residential areas and industrial parks in the area. The company is managing a pipeline network of more than 1,400 km, operating 3 water supply plants (Tan An, Binh Anh, Go Den) and many independent water supply stations, with a total capacity of about 90,000 m³/day and night, serving more than 52,300 customers.

LAWACO recommends that the Provincial People's Committee soon issue a water supply plan after the province's merger, and at the same time pay attention to and create favorable conditions for land funds for the company to expand and invest in infrastructure systems, better meet the clean water needs of people and businesses, contributing to promoting socio-economic development and ensuring social security in the coming period.

Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Huynh Van Son affirmed: State-owned enterprises play an important role in providing essential public services and serving people's lives. Therefore, he requested that LAWACO Company continue to strengthen its organizational structure, clearly assign tasks, and enhance the application of digital transformation in the spirit of Resolution 57, while closely following the Government 's policies and resolutions on the development of State-owned enterprises.

He hopes that with the support of local authorities and the initiative of enterprises, the units will not only fulfill their production and business tasks well but also make an important contribution to socio-economic development./.
