On the afternoon of August 22, the Customs Branch of Region VIII organized a program to attach a signboard to the Hoanh Mo Border Gate Customs Headquarters, celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam Customs sector's traditional day (September 10, 1945 - September 10, 2025). Comrade Bui Ngoc Loi, Deputy Head of the Customs Branch of Region VIII, attended and delivered a speech.

The Hoanh Mo Border Gate Customs Headquarters is built in Dong Mo village, Hoanh Mo commune, Quang Ninh province, with a large, synchronous and modern scale. The total land use area is over 5,440 m², with a total approved investment of over 34 billion VND.

The main scale of the headquarters includes: 03-storey office building and 01 attic; 03-storey staff housing, kitchen and dining room. Auxiliary items include: Guard house, gate, fence, internal road yard, embankment, water supply and drainage system, power supply, domestic water tank and fire prevention and fighting system. Synchronous technical system: Including air conditioning, surveillance camera, computer network, telephone, sound, transformer station, backup generator and modern fire prevention and fighting system. Construction start time from November 1, 2023 to June 19, 2024, 08 days ahead of schedule compared to the contract.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Bui Ngoc Loi, Deputy Head of the Customs Branch of Region VIII, affirmed: The Customs sector always pays special attention to investing in border areas, remote areas. This project is not only an asset, a physical facility, but also a symbol of development, a foundation and motivation for the road ahead.
