Regarding land prices and land valuation, economic expert Vu Dinh Anh stated that it is necessary to affirm the principle: Land valuation must follow the market mechanism, while at the same time building an objective, transparent, and professional land valuation market.

"If we only reduce land prices in the primary market without controlling the "inflation" of prices in the secondary market and without improving supply, the final price to the buyer will still be high, which is no different from reducing the original price from the manufacturer but the retailer still keeps the same price of this item on the shelf," said lawyer Pham Thanh Tuan.

Chairman of the Board of Directors of Global Real Estate Investment Joint Stock Company (GP.Invest) Nguyen Quoc Hiep said: "If the draft revised Land Law is passed this time, especially regarding the two key issues of site clearance and land prices, it will not only remove difficulties for real estate businesses but also untie the entire economy."

August Revolution with the establishment and construction of a democratic republic under the rule of law in Vietnam:
From historical reality to contemporary vision

Achieving national independence and establishing a democratic republic under the rule of law are the two most important and meaningful achievements of the August Revolution in 1945 in Vietnam.

The first General Election held on January 6, 1946 was a great milestone showing that our people had stepped up to the status of free citizens, using their votes to exercise their rights and obligations as citizens, establishing a new political system, a new regime: a democratic republic, the rule of law and democracy.

What is special is: The democratic and legal republic established in Vietnam at that time was the first republic to be born in Asia and was a republic with strong national, democratic and legal characteristics - this is the stature of the August Revolution in Vietnam.

The author and great Chief Architect of the democratic and rule of law republic of Vietnam is leader Ho Chi Minh.

Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Hoai Son, full-time member of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Society, assessed the Draft Political Report submitted to the 18th Hanoi City Party Congress, term 2025-2030. presented in a clear and convincing style. It not only summarizes the past journey, but also inspires the next development, where Hanoi is both the locomotive and the symbol of the economy, culture and society of the whole country.

What I like is that the document does not only focus on the goals of socio-economic development, but puts people, culture and happiness at the center.

General Secretary To Lam has repeatedly emphasized: The measure of development is people's happiness, expressed through satisfaction, trust and aspiration. Therefore, bringing "happiness" into the theme of the Political Report is a big step forward in thinking, demonstrating the humanistic depth in the approach of the Hanoi Party Committee.

Fake news on social networks: Not small consequences

Police officers work with the subject spreading news about the collapse of the Ban Ve hydroelectric dam (Nghe An province).

Not only artist Hoai Linh, Meritorious Artist Kim Tu Long also became a “victim” of social media when some social media accounts spread rumors that he had a traumatic brain injury and a brain tumor. As a result, in just a few days, the male artist received hundreds of phone calls to inquire about him, while his family and audience were extremely confused.

Not only artists are used as “like bait”, people also have to suffer the direct consequences of false rumors. On the afternoon of July 27, social networks spread the news of “Ban Ve hydroelectric dam breaking” in Nghe An province. In a panic, thousands of people in the flooded area rushed to grab their belongings and carry their children to the high mountains, regardless of the danger. Only when Ban Ve Hydroelectric Company spoke up to confirm that “the dam is still absolutely safe”, did people breathe a sigh of relief and return to their homes.

Chairman of the Advisory Council for Synthesis and Analysis of Public Opinion (Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City) Vu Hao Quang, commented: “Due to limited awareness, many people will be drawn into the world of false news. Once they get used to fake news, they will gradually doubt even the things they should believe. That is the biggest danger.”

Keep the soul of the countryside in the shape of the tree and the branches

One early autumn morning, after a night of rain, Mr. Vu Tiep’s garden in Bau village seemed to be wearing a shiny green coat. Hundreds of bonsai art works were neatly arranged, casting gentle shadows under the new sunlight.

Villagers and commune people often come here not only to admire the straight, horizontal and curved shapes of the trees, but also to see the love and talent that the tree craftsmen in Thien Loc commune have put into each branch and each root.

From their passion, many people in Thien Loc commune have turned their hobby of growing plants into a profession. With their skillful hands, they not only “play” but also “live” with the profession, satisfying their passion and opening up a path for economic development.
