Tay Ninh: Promoting the development of high-tech agriculture

Implementing the breakthrough program for developing high-tech agriculture (HDA) associated with restructuring the agricultural sector, Tay Ninh province has achieved many outstanding results, with many targets exceeding the plan for the 2021-2025 period.

The area of ​​rice using modern technology reached 63,988 hectares, achieving 106.6% of the plan.

According to the Provincial People's Committee, up to now, the area of ​​​​UDCNC rice has reached 63,988 hectares, reaching 106.6% of the plan. The vegetable area has reached 2,148 hectares, equal to 107.4% of the plan; the dragon fruit area has 5,849 hectares, reaching 97.5%; the lemon area has developed strongly with 4,114 hectares, far exceeding the plan, reaching 137%.

In livestock farming, from 2022 to present, Tay Ninh has built 5 pilot models to support breeding cows with 62 cows; at the same time, supported breed conversion for 285 breeding cows of 59 households, contributing to improving productivity and quality of the herd.

Notably, the province's shrimp farming area has expanded to 1,270.98 hectares. Of which, 98.84 hectares are deployed by the province and communes, while the remaining 1,172.14 hectares are actively invested and expanded by local people.

High-tech production is also implemented on lemon trees.

The above results show that the UDCNC agricultural development program in Tay Ninh is on the right track, affirming its driving role in restructuring the agricultural sector, improving productivity, quality of agricultural products and income for farmers./.
