Provincial People's Committee leaders visited and presented gifts to units and the elderly on the occasion of International Day of Older Persons.

On the occasion of the International Day of Older Persons (October 1), on the morning of September 29, the working delegation of the Provincial People's Committee led by Mr. H'Yim Kđoh - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee visited and presented gifts to a number of units and elderly people in the province.

The delegation visited and presented gifts to the Provincial Association of the Elderly, the Provincial Retirement and Elderly Club, the Provincial Social Protection Center and three centenarians in Cu Kuin district.

At the places visited, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee H'Yim Kđoh kindly asked about the activities, health and life of the elderly, affirmed that the elderly always play an important role in social life, wished the elderly good health, be a spiritual support and an example for their children and grandchildren to follow.

At the Provincial Social Protection Center, the delegation visited, presented gifts, and wished longevity to Mrs. Le Thi Khong (90 years old) who is being cared for and raised here.

In Cu Kuin district, the delegation visited, presented gifts and presented longevity cards fromthe President to the centenarians, including: Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Dom (village 3, Ea Tieu commune), Y Djhap Nie (Jung B hamlet, Ea Ktur commune) and H'De Knul (Ea Khit hamlet, Ea Bhok commune).

Representatives of the family and the elderly expressed their gratitude for the attention of the Party and State; affirmed that they will continue to uphold the exemplary spirit, actively encourage family members and local people to comply with the policies, guidelines, laws of the Party and State, and contribute to building Dak Lak homeland to become increasingly rich, beautiful and civilized.

It is known that in 2023, the whole province will have 140 people who are 100 years old being congratulated by the President and given gifts (including longevity greeting cards, 5 meters of silk or brocade fabric and 1 million VND in cash); 1,090 people who are 90 years old will be congratulated by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and given gifts (including longevity greeting cards, 2 cartons of milk for the elderly and 700,000 VND in cash). The Association of the Elderly at all levels will coordinate with associations and organizations to organize longevity greetings, visits and give gifts according to regulations to the elderly in localities.
