On July 20, Doctor Nguyen Van Tien, Head of Department of Surgery and Gynecology, Oncology Hospital of Ho Chi Minh City. Ho Chi Minh shared that doctors here had just undergone a brain surgery to find a way to save the life of a patient with a very large ovarian tumour.

The surgical treatment team encountered many difficulties, because of the large tumor sticking to the abdominal wall and internal organs in the abdomen. The patient was transfused with 1/2 liter of fresh blood because the tumor easily bleeds. After the operation, the doctors removed the ovarian tumor weighing up to 15kg. It is expected that the patient will receive chemotherapy later, when the pathological results confirm ovarian cancer.
Accordingly, the patient is Mrs. NTB (63 years old, Tien Giang province). About a year ago, Mrs. B. discovered that her stomach was getting bigger and bigger, but Ms. B. said that because of her difficult situation, she did not go to the doctor, but just went to pick up male medicine of unknown type to drink. The more she took the male medicine, the more Ms. B. found her stomach getting bigger and bigger over time, until she couldn't stand it anymore, she went to the local hospital for a checkup.

When the "oversized" tumor was discovered, Mrs. B. continued to be transferred to a higher level by doctors. At Ho Chi Minh City Oncology Hospital, through examination and paraclinical work, the doctors discovered that Mrs. B's tumor occupies the entire abdomen up to the sternum, over 40cm in size. Mrs. B. was assigned urgent surgery to keep her life safe, with a preoperative diagnosis of large ovarian cancer.
Doctors said that ovarian tumors are common diseases, most of them are benign, but if they are malignant, they can be life-threatening. Ovarian tumors often have no symptoms because they are located deep in the pelvis, so by the time the patient is discovered, the tumor is usually already large.
Doctors recommend that, at present, there are no medical studies to prove that male medicine can cure cancer. Therefore, patients are advised to persevere and trust in the regimen of specialist doctors, absolutely should not use male remedies of unknown origin, miss the golden stage of treatment.
