The Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Festival is a unique cultural and tourism product that honors and promotes the beauty of Vietnam's traditional culture, while also showcasing to domestic and international tourists a vibrant, modern, and inspiring city.
The 12th Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Festival in 2026 will include the following main activities:
- The Ao Dai Street - An exhibition and interactive space featuring the Ao Dai at 3 PM on March 6th on Nguyen Hue pedestrian street.
- The opening ceremony of the Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Festival will take place at 6 PM on March 6th at Nguyen Hue pedestrian street (the section between Ngo Duc Ke and Mac Thi Buoi streets).
- A program commemorating the 1986th anniversary of the Hai Ba Trung Uprising and the 116th anniversary of International Women's Day (March 8th) will feature a folk dance performance with Vietnamese ao dai (traditional dress) at 7:00 AM on March 8th at the President Ho Chi Minh Monument Park and Nguyen Hue pedestrian street.
- The Ao Dai (Vietnamese traditional dress) art performance will take place at 7 PM on March 7th at the President Ho Chi Minh Monument Park and Nguyen Hue pedestrian street.
- The final round of the Ho Chi Minh City Elegant Ao Dai Contest and the awards ceremony for the online Ao Dai Photo Contest will take place at 5:30 PM on March 8th at the President Ho Chi Minh Monument Park and Nguyen Hue pedestrian street.
- The Vietnamese Traditional Clothing and Ao Dai parade will take place at 8:00 AM on March 8th, following a route from 92 Nguyen Hue Street to the main stage at the President Ho Chi Minh Monument Park.
- A discussion on the Ao Dai (Vietnamese traditional dress) among consuls general, wives of consuls general, and international students studying in Ho Chi Minh City will be held at 8:00 AM on March 18th at the Ao Dai Museum.
