Despite not playing in the final match of the season, Haaland remained unchallenged in the goalscoring race. The Manchester City striker finished the season with 27 goals in 35 Premier League appearances.
Right behind Haaland is Igor Thiago of Brentford with 22 goals. His breakout season also earned the Brazilian striker a call-up to the national team for the 2026 World Cup.
The Golden Boot award this season further demonstrates Haaland's immense influence at Manchester City. Although the Etihad Stadium side couldn't defend their title against Arsenal, the 25-year-old striker maintained an impressive goal-scoring record throughout the season.
Haaland had a spectacular start to the season, scoring 19 goals in his first 17 games. That devastating form gave Man City a significant advantage over Arsenal in the title race during the first half of the season.
However, the Norwegian striker also experienced a slump in form mid-season. In a run of seven consecutive matches leading up to the New Year, Haaland scored only one goal, a penalty against Brighton.
Haaland's slump also somewhat affected Man City's overall performance in the title race. Pep Guardiola's team dropped many important points before being overtaken by Arsenal in the final stages of the season.
Nevertheless, Haaland still knows how to shine at the most crucial moments of the season. The Norwegian striker scored in big matches against Liverpool and Arsenal, thus continuing to demonstrate the goal-scoring instinct of one of the world's leading center forwards.
Winning another Golden Boot also helped Haaland continue to make history in the Premier League. Currently, only Mohamed Salah and Thierry Henry are the two players with more Golden Boot titles than the Manchester City striker in the Premier League era.
