According to Mundo Deportivo , Rashford is willing to take a 40% pay cut to sign a long-term contract with Barcelona. Previously, the Camp Nou club agreed to pay Rashford's full salary when they loaned him from Manchester United (his base salary was around 14 million euros per season, not including add-ons).
Barcelona's management highly appreciated Rashford's salary reduction, given the club's financial difficulties. However, the team is still considering activating the €30 million buyout clause. Barcelona's top priority is to extend Rashford's loan for another season.
However, this idea met with opposition from MU. The "Red Devils" preferred a permanent sale, especially after his impressive performances this season.

Last season, Rashford wasn't a regular starter under manager Hansi Flick. Much of his playing time came during periods when Raphinha was injured. However, the English striker made the most of the opportunity, scoring 14 goals and providing 14 assists across all competitions.
Despite sometimes being criticized for not fully integrating into Barcelona's tactical system, Rashford still enjoys great trust from Hansi Flick. The German manager has repeatedly publicly praised the attitude and effectiveness of the 1997-born player and wants to keep him for the next season.
Not only is he a good fit professionally, but Rashford is also happy with life in Barcelona. The English striker quickly integrated into the team and adapted well to the new environment. During the La Liga championship celebrations, he publicly expressed his desire to continue playing for the Catalan club.
