According to the BBC , relegation to the Championship next season has led many West Ham players to plan their departure from the club, amid a series of automatic pay cuts being triggered.
The source indicated that most West Ham players would face significant pay cuts if the team's performance continues to decline. Some players might even have to accept a 50% reduction in their current salary. This makes the risk of a mass exodus of players from the London club even more apparent.
The contracts of three players, Axel Disasi, Adama Traore, and Callum Wilson, will all expire next summer. The likelihood of these players renewing their contracts is not considered high.
Meanwhile, the future of captain Jarrod Bowen is also in serious doubt. The English star is currently considered West Ham's most valuable asset, and one of only three players remaining from the squad that won the Conference League before Fiorentina.
West Ham's management hopes Bowen will remain to lead the team in their race to return to the Premier League. However, if a suitable offer is received, the club could sell him to balance its finances.

Not only Bowen, but midfielder Mateus Fernandes is also attracting interest from several European giants, including PSG and Manchester United. West Ham are reportedly willing to sell the player if they can recoup a significant profit compared to the £40 million they paid for him last summer.
El Hadji Malick Diouf, the £19 million signing from Slavia Prague, is also a name that could help West Ham profit in the transfer market.
West Ham earned over £100 million from the sale of Declan Rice to Arsenal, but this money is considered to have been used inefficiently. Max Kilman, a £40 million signing from Wolves, has virtually disappeared from the squad since the end of January. Meanwhile, striker Niclas Fullkrug was a major disappointment before being loaned to AC Milan in January.
With a wave of star players leaving, West Ham are clearly facing a crucial transfer window that will determine the club's future.
