Model Le Thuy said her husband - actor Do An - loved and encouraged her when she was sad because she had not had children after many years of marriage.
The model talks about life and marriage as she and her husband celebrate 10 years together.
- How is your life after 5 years away from the stage?
- Currently, I have a small snail restaurant for business, occasionally accepting invitations to attend events of close colleagues or perform at designer Do Manh Cuong's show. In addition to managing the restaurant, I learn meditation, read Buddhist scriptures, practice yoga to stay healthy, and train myself to be less hot-tempered. I see many changes in my thinking and perception.
After getting married, I decided that I could not pursue a modeling career forever because "when the bamboo gets old, the young shoots grow". My married life is now peaceful and happy. I think I was right to leave the catwalk to build a small family.

- What pressure do you face in married life?
- Four years ago, my husband and I tried to have a baby through IVF but it was unsuccessful. I was always afraid that I would not succeed if I tried again. However, the doctor advised me to relax and keep my mind as relaxed as possible to prepare for pregnancy.
I was also affected by the words of outsiders such as: "Le Thuy has been married for nearly 10 years but has no children, so she must be infertile", "Le Thuy and Do An signed a marriage contract so they have no children". In the past, because I was saddened by such words, I often vented my anger on my husband. Fortunately, my husband understood his wife's temperament so he was patient and analyzed everything, making me less stressed.
- How do both families support you and your husband?
- My husband's parents love me like their own daughter. They said that whenever we have children, it's up to us to decide. They only want two or three daughters because my husband's family only has sons (laughs). My family is always in a hurry, especially my grandmother, who is old and wants to see her great-grandchild before she passes away.
I feel lucky because I have never had to worry about fulfilling my duties as a daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law. My relatives have always respected and supported our private lives. Because they are so good, sometimes I wonder whether I should have children sooner than planned.
- How do you and your husband keep the "fire" of marriage?
- No matter how busy we are, we always have a rule of setting aside one or two days a week to date, go out for dinner, and chat with each other. We both turn off our phones and focus on enjoying the moment together. We will both tell each other about our work, how we meet friends, and what problems we have so we can discuss or find the best solution.
No matter how angry my husband and I are, we never mention the word "divorce". Whenever we have a conflict or are dissatisfied with something, I usually say goodbye. But Do An is different. When he decides to marry someone, he says he has the responsibility to take care of that person for the rest of his life.

- What do you love most about your husband?
- Do An always gives in, understands, and sympathizes with his wife's stubbornness. He doesn't drink alcohol, smoke, or hang out with friends. Singer Ho Ngoc Ha and I have a close relationship. Every time we meet, she says: "My husband is a rare man nowadays, you have to know how to cherish him." All men have pride, but he doesn't care, he always gives his wife the best love. I think that shows the nobility of a man. Therefore, I love my partner more and more.
When he saw me hanging out with successful women in society, my husband worried that I would feel outclassed, so he tried to work hard to improve the quality of life. Thanks to that, I didn't have to worry about finances or money. With Do An, I always felt stable and safe.
- What is your biggest wish right now?
- I love children so much that I want to have a new member in my family. My husband and I discussed continuing the IVF method for the second time when I am about 35 years old. I think that only then can I comfortably focus on motherhood because my work plans and places I want to go have all been completed.
I also cherish the idea of opening a restaurant in the Central region, hoping to have many advantages when launching. I feel that life is already full, I have no more ambitions.
