In recent times, the cultural sector has applied virtual reality technology (VR - Virtual Reality) and 3D technology to bring cultural products closer to the public, enhancing the tourism experience at many cultural and tourist destinations. In particular, Dong Nai Cultural - Cinema Center has implemented virtual reality exhibitions including: Communist Party of Vietnam - historical milestones; President Ton Duc Thang - life and career; Sea and islands - the heart of Vietnam; Country full of joy; Dong Nai - land of culture and people...
Or like Nhon Trach district held a virtual reality exhibition of Nhon Trach 30 years of construction and development, helping viewers have an overall view of Nhon Trach land rich in patriotic, revolutionary, and cultural traditions, promoting that pride for today's and future generations.
In particular, Dong Nai Museum has built many virtual reality tours and digitized 2D, 3D artifacts and relic records. Notable ones include the 360 virtual reality tour of Tran Bien Temple of Literature National Monument, Hang Gon Megalithic Tomb National Monument, Nguyen Huu Canh Temple and Tomb Relics, etc. In addition, the museum also introduces to the public the Cat Tien National Park Biodiversity Virtual Reality Exhibition, allowing viewers to observe the diverse ecosystem in a vivid, real-life way.
Director of Dong Nai Museum Nguyen Viet Son said that the museum has been introducing virtual reality tours, 3D exhibitions, 3D digitized artifacts, etc. on its website, and linking to the websites of travel agencies. Thereby, educating the younger generation to better understand the culture, history, and heritage of Bien Hoa - Dong Nai; connecting and spreading to people and tourists at home and abroad, developing cultural tourism.
Along with building creative cultural products by applying technology and connecting tourism development, in recent times, Dong Nai has also promoted tourism promotion activities through many forms such as: making films introducing Dong Nai tourism in tourist areas and spots, broadcasting on TV channels...; publishing tourism publications, introducing on electronic information pages, participating in tourism exhibitions in localities.
Developing tourism from major cultural events
To promote and boost tourism development as well as cultural industry, in 2025, Dong Nai will organize many unique and large-scale events. Notably, the Dong Nai Hot Air Balloon Festival 2025 will take place from April 27 to 30 at Son Tien Tourist Area (An Hoa Ward, Bien Hoa City). The festival will take place with a variety of activities such as: performing 50 hot air balloons symbolizing the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification; national flag-raising ceremony; free hot air balloon flights and hanging hot air balloon flights; visiting hot air balloon tunnels; paragliding performances, brass band performances, artistic kite flying...
At the same time as the Dong Nai Hot Air Balloon Festival 2025, the Bien Hoa - Dong Nai Traditional Pottery Festival will be opened at the Event and External Relations Center. The Pottery Festival will feature hot air balloon performances; trade and culinary booths; construction of a pottery road at the Tan Hanh Ceramic Industrial Cluster; and art performances to serve the people. This event aims to honor Bien Hoa pottery with its hundreds of years of history, create opportunities for exchange between artisans and tourists, and promote the market for handicraft products.
Eagerly preparing to participate in the Bien Hoa - Dong Nai Traditional Pottery Festival, Vice Chairman of the Bien Hoa Relics and Antiques Club Nguyen Mong Diep said that since the beginning of 2025, the club has developed activity programs, focusing on bringing relics and antiques, especially those related to Bien Hoa pottery, to cultural spaces serving the community. In particular, the club has been preparing dozens of unique ceramic products to participate in the Bien Hoa - Dong Nai Traditional Pottery Festival. Thereby preserving and promoting heritage values, contributing to creating many unique cultural and tourism products imbued with Dong Nai identity.
