The general training session of the armed forces at the National Military Training Center 4 ( Hanoi ) had the participation of nearly 16,000 officers and soldiers of military and police units along with modern weapons and equipment systems participating in the parade and marching tasks.

The upcoming parade and march to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2nd) (mission A80) is an opportunity to demonstrate the solidarity and strength of the Vietnamese people. Mission A80 is large-scale, with a large formation and the participation of modern vehicles and weapons.

Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nghia - Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, Head of the Parade and Marching Subcommittee - chaired the general training session.

The parade formation consists of a standing and a walking group. These include female military groups (Military Band, Medical Officers, Vietnam Peacekeepers , Special Forces, Signalmen, Militia of Vietnamese Ethnic Groups, Southern Guerrillas) and two female police groups (Traffic Police Officers, Special Forces Police).

During the ceremony, after the traditional revolutionary torch procession entered the stage, the military band played celebratory music until the torch was lit.

At the end of the training session, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nghia assessed that despite the harsh and hot weather, the parade, marching and artillery units strictly followed discipline and were full of pride, receiving attention from the people, the Party, the State, overseas Vietnamese and international friends.

Opening the series of modern weapons of Vietnam are the T54/T55 tanks - the main tank line of the Vietnam People's Army - produced by the Soviet Union, creating legendary victories such as the Great Spring Victory of 1975 and many other outstanding feats.
