Senior Lieutenant General Truong Thien To visited and encouraged people in flood-affected areas.

On the afternoon of November 21, Senior Lieutenant General Truong Thien To, Deputy Chief of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, and the working delegation visited, shared the loss and encouraged people in the heavily affected areas.

Visiting each deeply flooded area, where many households were left with almost nothing after the flood, Senior Lieutenant General Truong Thien To kindly asked about people's lives and listened to the difficulties and damages they had to endure.

In Phu Thu village, Tay Hoa commune, the working group presented support gifts to Mr. Truong Cong Men (70 years old, one of the households deeply flooded). Receiving the gift of food and necessities, Mr. Men emotionally shared: "During the days when the flood rose quickly, our houses were flooded up to the kitchen door, we were very worried. Now that the soldiers have come to visit and encourage us, the people feel more secure."

During the working trip, Senior Lieutenant General Truong Thien To and his delegation inspected the Kitchen of the Defense Command of Region 6 - Tuy Hoa (Dak Lak Provincial Military Command).

Here, Senior Lieutenant General Truong Thien To praised the sense of responsibility of officers and soldiers who are day and night ensuring hundreds of hot meals, porridge and necessities are promptly delivered to people in deeply flooded areas.

Senior Lieutenant General Truong Thien To talked and encouraged units and forces participating in the task of overcoming the consequences of natural disasters in the eastern communes and wards of Dak Lak province.

On this occasion, the General Department of Politics presented 100 gifts to support the people of Dak Lak province and 06 gifts to groups participating in responding to and overcoming the consequences of floods.

Military Region 5 also gave 50 more gifts to the people and 6 gifts to encourage the forces on duty.
