A Government delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung visited D'ran commune, an area that suffered heavy damage after heavy rains caused floodwaters to rise rapidly, forcing hundreds of households to evacuate overnight. Also attending were Lam Dong Provincial Party Secretary Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam and Provincial People's Committee Chairman Ho Van Muoi.

At the evacuation point, the Deputy Prime Minister kindly asked about the health and living conditions of the people, and sympathized with the losses as many properties and crops were swept away. He asked the people to remain calm, continue to cooperate with the authorities and absolutely not return home until they have received a safety notice from the authorities.

D'ran is an area strongly affected by heavy rain with rainfall up to 386 mm, combined with the irrigation reservoir regulating water causing water to suddenly flow, cutting off many roads and significantly damaging crops and civil works.

After visiting the people, the Deputy Prime Minister inspected some landslide sites, streamside areas and affected traffic routes.
Directing at the scene, the Deputy Prime Minister requested the People's Committee of Lam Dong province to immediately deploy emergency measures such as reviewing high-risk areas, arranging safe temporary shelters for people, strengthening the flood warning system and mobilizing resources to quickly overcome the consequences, and soon bring life back to normal.
