Accordingly, Mr. Tran Trung Dung, Acting General Director of CIC, was appointed to the position of Chairman of the Board of Members of VAMC. Mr. Dung has 20 years of experience in the banking industry, having worked for 7 years at the Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade ( VietinBank ) and was assigned to restructure Ocean Commercial One Member Limited Liability Bank (OceanBank) - now renamed Modern Bank of Vietnam (MBV).
At the same time, Mr. Cao Van Binh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of CIC, was appointed to concurrently hold the position of General Director of CIC. Previously, Mr. Cao Van Binh served as a member of the Board of Directors and General Director of CIC Center. The appointment took place in the context of CIC accelerating the implementation of its digital transformation strategy, perfecting the data infrastructure to serve the digital economy and comprehensive finance.
Speaking at the two events, Deputy Governor Nguyen Ngoc Canh and Deputy Governor Pham Tien Dung emphasized that the appointment aims to perfect the apparatus and strengthen capable leadership personnel for VAMC and CIC in the context of the banking industry facing many new challenges.
The State Bank's leaders expressed their belief that the two new leaders will promote their experience, unite with the unit, promote innovation, modernize operations and effectively carry out the strategic tasks assigned by the State Bank.
