Proactive investment in upgrading, improving quality, renewing products, and developing unique tourism products that leverage local strengths has attracted an increasing number of domestic and international tourists to the ancestral land and the provinces and cities within the cooperation group.

With its rich and diverse tourism resources and unique characteristics, over the years, Phu Tho province and the provinces in the cooperation group have invested in and upgraded distinctive tourism products, developed new tourism products based on their strengths, differences, and competitiveness in the market, and promoted the exploitation of inter-provincial tourism tours.
In addition, efforts will be intensified to promote and introduce the integrated tour to tourists and travel businesses in the North, Central, and South regions, gradually bringing into effective operation the tour connecting the expanded Northwest provinces and Ho Chi Minh City according to the general cooperation agreement: "Returning to the Ancestral Land - The Roots of the Nation," "The Epic of the Northwest," and "The Flavors and Colors of the Highlands."
Develop several new tourist tours to attract visitors, such as: Visiting UNESCO-listed heritage sites; Hanoi - Moc Chau - Hua Phan (Lao People's Democratic Republic); trekking tourism products such as: Climbing Bach Moc Luong Tu peak, the ancient stone path of Pa Vi on the route connecting Sang Ma Sao, Bat Xat district, Lao Cai province - Sin Suoi Ho, Phong Tho district, Lai Chau province; and developing inter-provincial tour products "One route, 5 destinations"...
In the first six months of the year, the province's tourism revenue is estimated at 2,697 billion VND, an estimated increase of 13% compared to the same period last year; the number of tourists increased significantly, with an estimated 482,900 overnight visitors, an estimated increase of 15% compared to the same period last year, of which international overnight visitors are estimated at 5,470, an estimated increase of 16% compared to the same period last year.
In addition, the provinces and cities in the cooperation group have strengthened the organization of typical cultural, sports, and tourism activities and events to promote the image of local tourism, diversify experiential activities, and attract domestic and international tourists through programs and event series: Hung Temple Festival and Ancestral Land Culture and Tourism Week 2024; Hoa Ban Festival and National Tourism Year 2024 in Dien Bien; International Culture, Tourism and Food Festival - Ha Giang; Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Day; VITM International Tourism Fair - Hanoi and tourism promotion on digital platforms, meeting the needs of different tourist groups.
The tourism promotion activities of the cooperative group have contributed to expanding the tourist market, gradually affirming the reputation, image, and brand of the cooperative group's tourism on the Vietnamese tourism map.
