The 6th Vietnam Community Nutrition Day took place on May 24th at the Independence Palace, Ho Chi Minh City.
Following the success of the previous five seasons, the 6th Vietnam Community Nutrition Day delivers a powerful message about self-reliance in health and disease prevention, especially in the context of the World Health Organization (WHO) recently warning that Vietnam is among the countries with a high rate of sedentary youth, with 91% of girls and 82% of boys not meeting the minimum daily exercise recommendation, indicating an increasingly prevalent sedentary lifestyle among young people.
The fast-paced urban lifestyle has led to an increase in non-communicable diseases such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and obesity. This event was organized to call on the community to change their perceptions, establish regular exercise habits, and practice scientific nutrition right at the family dinner table.
Over the past five editions, the program has advised thousands of people, demonstrating its widespread reach and the trust the community places in the event. This year, with the participation of leading experts, the activity promises to provide even more practical knowledge, helping each participant confidently change and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
