According to TBR Football , Liverpool's final fee could even reach £140 million including add-ons. However, Newcastle remain adamant about not selling Isak and are demanding a fee of £150 million, a figure Liverpool were initially unwilling to pay.
Isak has repeatedly expressed his desire to move to Liverpool and informed the club's management last month. However, Newcastle has maintained a firm stance, refusing to accept any offers below their valuation.
After two rounds of the 2025/26 Premier League season, Isak has yet to play for Newcastle. He is still training separately from the first team.
On August 26th, the Daily Mail reported that a delegation from the club visited Isak's home to discuss a new contract. However, the Swedish striker still affirmed his ambition to join Liverpool.
Isak's drastic move to leave has caused outrage among Newcastle fans. Supporters have called Isak a "rat" and demanded that the striker be removed from the squad for the entire current season.
In other news, Newcastle are also looking to strengthen their attack. They were recently rejected by Wolves after submitting a £50 million bid for striker Jacob Strand Larsen. Yoane Wissa of Brentford is another striker on Newcastle's radar.
