Benefits of e-invoicing after every sale

Getting an electronic invoice after each purchase will protect the rights of the buyer, protected by law in commercial transactions.

In recent times, the Thanh Hoa tax sector has focused on promoting and encouraging people and businesses to implement electronic invoices generated from cash registers for various services; at the same time, establishing inspection teams and strictly handling cases that have registered but not applied.

For over 2 years, it has become a habit for Ms. Tran Thi Tuoi in Ngoc Trao ward (Bim Son town) to proactively provide personal information and ask the seller to issue her an electronic invoice when purchasing goods at supermarkets and agents. Ms. Tuoi said: “Through the media, I learned that many people won big prizes from the “Lucky Invoice” program. Therefore, when I go shopping, I also ask the stores to issue invoices, who knows, I might be lucky enough to win. Moreover, when I provide full information and get an invoice, many supermarkets and stores also accumulate promotional points and discounts for the next purchase. At the end of 2024, when I received the news that I won the first prize of the “Lucky Invoice” program worth 10 million VND organized by the Thanh Hoa Tax Department (now the Tax Department of Region X), I was very excited. I hope that when buying goods, everyone will ask the seller to issue an electronic invoice in accordance with the law to ensure their own rights, and join hands in building civilized habits when buying goods and services.”

Gasoline and oil are commodities at risk of fraud, causing losses, greatly affecting the economy. Implementing the direction of the Government, ministries, branches at the central and provincial levels, Thanh Hoa Tax Department (now the Tax Department of Region X) has actively coordinated to propagate the issuance of electronic invoices for each sale of gasoline and oil retail; assigned specific targets to tax departments, teams, and civil servants in supporting, supervising, and removing obstacles in the process of issuing electronic invoices for each sale. At the same time, coordinated with relevant units to organize conferences, seminars, training sessions, and exchanges to promptly resolve issues; created conditions for units providing software solutions for electronic invoices to share solutions; resolutely handled slow-moving stores...

Ms. Thai Thi Thanh Hang, Director of Phu Quy Company Limited on Ba Trieu Street, Truong Thi Ward (Thanh Hoa City), specializing in gasoline and oil trading, said: “Issuing electronic invoices for each sale at gasoline and oil retail stores is extremely necessary. At the company's gasoline and oil stores, we have invested in infrastructure, software and a synchronous connection system from the pump to the accounting department to ensure that invoices are created immediately after completing the customer's gasoline and oil purchase transaction. This invoice is sent to customers online or directly. Creating, issuing and issuing electronic invoices not only helps us increase control over sales transactions, but also helps customers save time, ensure their rights and protect their own interests. Information on tax codes, pumping times, vehicle registration numbers, gasoline and oil quantities, etc. are all updated on invoices, integrated with the enterprise's management software system and sent to the Tax Department of Region X for monitoring, control, help businesses manage effectively, prevent fraud, save costs, time and human resources".

Obtaining an electronic invoice after each purchase will also protect the rights of the buyer protected by law in commercial transactions, such as: product warranty, after-sales service, disputes, complaints about product quality... For sellers, issuing electronic invoices contributes to creating a transparent business environment between businesses, avoiding unfair competition; enhancing the reputation and reliability of businesses with customers.

For the tax sector, it helps to limit budget losses due to tax fraud from not issuing invoices or incorrectly declaring revenue; at the same time, it contributes to promoting digital transformation and digitizing the management work of the tax sector. To date, 100% of gasoline retail stores in the province have issued electronic invoices to customers; more than 1,000 commercial service businesses have registered to use it, and have issued nearly 10 million electronic invoices from cash registers to customers.

To continue to improve the effectiveness of issuing invoices after each sale, the Tax Department of Region X continues to promote propaganda and popularize the rights and benefits of consumers who get invoices when purchasing goods, creating civilized consumption habits. Thereby, individuals and consumers understand and accompany tax authorities in monitoring business activities of enterprises, contributing to creating a transparent business environment and effective and efficient tax management.
