Responding to negative rumors, Long Nhật frankly stated: "I share everything I do with the press and social media, but sometimes people still spread rumors that I'm past my prime. I'm used to such rumors now, and sometimes I don't even want to correct them anymore. But occasionally I still have to speak up so that those who love me feel reassured. I'm not arguing, I just want my fans to know that I'm doing well and making a living from my profession."
Why is Long Nhật rumored to be "past his prime"?
A few months earlier, Long Nhật surprised audiences by announcing his temporary suspension from all positions on the judging panel of the two aforementioned competitions. This decision quickly sparked rumors that the singer had been "excluded from the competition." However, he stated that the real reason stemmed from health issues. "I just finished the Vietnam Golden Bolero Voice competition and then immediately participated in the Vietnam Homeland Love Songs competition , so I'm exhausted. Currently, my son and father are also ill. I promised to balance family and work, but lately I've leaned too much towards work," the "Song Que" singer confided. In addition, Long Nhật apologized and expressed his hope for understanding from the audience for this interruption.
Long Nhật has been involved with the competition for over 5 years, accompanying the Golden Voice of Vietnamese Bolero competition and is considered one of the program's most dedicated judges. Throughout his participation, he has contributed to raising the competition's prestige by inviting many famous singers to be on the judging panel, including Hương Lan.
Long Nhật, whose full name is Đinh Long Nhật, was born in 1967 in Quảng Trị and grew up in Huế in a family with a literary tradition. The 60s-era singer is famous for pursuing sentimental folk music. Songs associated with his name include "Mấy nhịp cầu tre," "Tình Huế ," "Ở hai đầu nỗi nhớ," and "Gió về miền xuôi"... In recent years, Long Nhật has also participated in acting and served as a judge for many music competitions.
