Having won second prize in the national final round of the "Vietnamese Language Champion" online competition for the 2025-2026 school year, Nguyen Truong Ngoc Diep shared: "During the preparation period, I always received encouragement from my teachers and parents, which motivated me to try even harder. The competition helped me learn many useful things and make many new friends. I will continue to study diligently to achieve even better results."
Sharing second prize, Lai Hoa Thanh said that she liked the questions about Vietnamese folk songs, proverbs, and history the most because they helped her understand many interesting things. To do well on the exam, she stayed calm and practiced diligently every day. In the future, she will continue to read more books and strive to study harder to achieve better results.
Pham Mai Tue Nhi, who won third prize in the national "Vietnamese Language Champion" competition, shared that to prepare for the exam, she regularly practiced different types of questions. In addition to her time in class, she also studied at home under the guidance of her teacher to improve her reflexes and confidence when taking the online test.
Class 5/5 currently has 39 students. Midway through the second semester of the 2025-2026 school year, 100% of students completed the learning content and educational activities, and their qualities and abilities were all rated as satisfactory. The class actively participated in many intellectual competitions and achieved high results, such as winning 2 second prizes and 1 third prize at the national level in the "Vietnamese Language Champion" competition; winning 1 gold medal at the national level in Violympic; receiving an honorable mention at the provincial level in VioEdu, and having students participate at the national level. Movements such as "green, clean, and beautiful classroom," small projects, and drawing for propaganda purposes were actively supported by the class and achieved good results.
Ms. Tran Thi Ngoc Bich, homeroom teacher of class 5/5, said that she always innovates her teaching methods to make them easy to understand, create interest in learning, and encourage students to actively explore knowledge. At the same time, she builds a competitive learning movement through various forms of encouragement such as commendations, small gifts, and medals… to motivate the students. For the "Vietnamese Language Champion" competition, since the students already have a foundation of knowledge from previous grades, she continues to motivate them and ignite their passion for learning. She also collaborates with other teachers to review specific topics on vocabulary, grammar, folk songs, proverbs, reading comprehension skills, and familiarizes them with various exam question types. "The support of families and the students' diligence and eagerness to learn are important factors that have helped the class achieve many outstanding results," Ms. Bich shared.
According to Mr. Tran Thanh Thuy, Principal of Hon Dat Town Primary School 1, class 5/5 is a well-disciplined class with many diligent students who are self-motivated and actively participate in school activities. These achievements are thanks to the dedication of the homeroom teacher and the support of the parents. The school's management always prioritizes investing in facilities, providing additional computers to support the teaching and learning of computer science and English, creating opportunities for students to access technology and participate in online competitions.
The school also encourages teachers to innovate teaching methods, identify and nurture gifted students to improve the quality of education. “Participating in competitions not only helps students consolidate their knowledge but also hones their thinking skills, self-confidence, initiative, and communication and learning abilities. They gain more motivation to learn and have more opportunities for holistic development in the following years,” Mr. Thuy said.
