The number of Vietnamese tourists traveling to Hong Kong has grown impressively.

Sharing with Dan Tri reporter, Ms. Le Thi Tue (Director of Di San Viet Travel Company) said that each month, the company has 3-5 tourist groups traveling to Hong Kong or going on Hong Kong - Guangzhou - Shenzhen tours with prices ranging from 14.49 million VND to 17.99 million VND/person.

Previously, many people often thought that Hong Kong tourism only focused on customers using high-end services. In fact, this place is suitable for all ages and customer segments.

In addition to eating and drinking, young visitors here often like to visit flea markets to buy unique items and visit art exhibitions.

However, Ms. Tue said: "The procedure for applying for a Hong Kong tourist visa is a barrier compared to many other destinations in the Asian region. The average visa application time is 3 weeks, and proof of occupation and financial documents are required. Therefore, Hong Kong is usually not a priority destination for first-time travelers. This place will be ranked after Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia...".

"On average, a Vietnamese tourist trip to Hong Kong lasts 3.5 days. Each person spends about 6,400 HKD (more than 21 million VND) in this Special Administrative Region. This is enough money to experience a variety of things from street food to high-end services," said Ms. Liew Chian Jia.

This year, Hong Kong aims to welcome 49 million international visitors. Regarding visa procedures, Ms. Liew Chian Jia said: "To make the visa application process easier and more convenient, the Hong Kong Tourism Board has deployed infographics (guided images).

These images provide step-by-step instructions, helping visitors, even first-time applicants, to know what documents to prepare and follow the process easily."
