The enrollment confirmation procedure is mandatory for all students who wish to study at the school they have been accepted into.
If, within the specified period from 1:30 PM on July 5th to the end of July 7th, students do not confirm their enrollment, they will be considered as not having the desire to study at the school they have been accepted to. They will be removed from the school's list of admitted students.
Students can confirm their enrollment in two ways: in person at the school or online from home.
Students must confirm their enrollment in public high school from 1:30 PM on July 5th until the end of July 7th.
The admission documents include: Confirmation of enrollment; Application form for admission to grade 10; Junior high school transcript (original); Birth certificate (certified copy). In case of underage students, confirmation from the Department of Education and Training is required; notification of grade 10 entrance exam results issued by the Hanoi Department of Education and Training; Temporary junior high school graduation certificate (issued by the junior high school); Citizen identification card of the student or their parents; documents confirming preferential treatment issued by competent authorities (if any).
After confirming enrollment, parents can register to purchase school uniforms with the school. Schools will also distribute a list of textbooks that will be used for the upcoming school year, and parents can register to purchase textbooks at the school if needed.
The Hanoi Department of Education and Training notes that if a student is accepted into their first choice, they will not be considered for their second or third choice . Students who are not accepted into their first choice may be considered for their second choice, but their admission score must be at least 1 point higher than the school's first choice admission score. Students who are not accepted into their first or second choice may be considered for their third choice, but their admission score must be at least 2 points higher than the school's first choice admission score.
In the event that the first-choice school lowers its admission cutoff score, students can cancel their enrollment confirmation at their second (or third) choice school and confirm their enrollment at their first-choice school (after the school lowers the cutoff score or they are accepted after a review of their exam results).
The deadline for receiving appeals and confirming enrollment for 10th-grade students has been adjusted to an earlier date than previously announced. Specifically, from July 1st to July 7th, educational institutions will receive appeals from students, submit the appeals and the list of students appealing to the Department of Education and Training. Students who are admitted after the appeal results are available will enroll directly at their admitted schools on July 28th.
During the enrollment confirmation period, if students and parents voluntarily submit admission documents, high schools will facilitate the verification and acceptance of these documents according to the regulations of the Department of Education. Students in Hanoi will submit their enrollment documents from July 11th to 14th.
