Hamas spokesman Husam Badran said the group will not attend the signing ceremony of the US-brokered Gaza ceasefire agreement, scheduled to take place in Egypt on October 13. He also expressed doubts about some points in the peace plan promoted by President Trump, RT reported.
On October 12, Al-Arabiya quoted Husam Badran as saying: "Hamas will not participate in the signing process. Only mediators, American and Israeli officials will be present."

"The discussion about expelling Palestinians, regardless of whether they are Hamas members or not, from their land is absurd and meaningless," a Hamas spokesman stressed, describing the implementation of the second phase of Trump's peace plan for Gaza as complicated and difficult.
Meanwhile, Shosh Bedrosian, spokesman for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, also said no Israeli officials would attend the signing ceremony.
Israel and Hamas recently agreed on phase one of a ceasefire. However, the ceasefire was unilaterally terminated by Israel in March, and Prime Minister Netanyahu recently suggested that the IDF could resume attacks on Gaza if Hamas refused to disarm. Some members of Israel's coalition government have spoken out against any concessions to Hamas.
