Speaking to Tuoi Tre Online , Mr. Tran Duc Chung, Chairman of the People's Committee of Lung Cu commune, said that all passenger transport to the Lung Cu flagpole will be temporarily suspended from November 21st to December 2nd. This is also the period when the 11th Buckwheat Flower Festival takes place.

The vehicle-free zone is approximately 600-700 meters long, from the beginning of the road to the flagpole. During this time, visitors can walk or use electric vehicles or motorbike taxis managed by Lung Cu commune.

According to Mr. Chung, the temporary suspension of passenger transport to the Lung Cu flagpole aims to ensure space for cultural and artistic experiences and folk games during the Buckwheat Flower Festival.

Secondly, during peak season, the increased number of motorcycles and cars easily leads to traffic congestion, posing a potential risk to traffic safety.

Recently, Lung Cu commune has welcomed over 10,000 visitors per week, including a significant number of international tourists.

Local authorities have planned to provide four parking areas for visitors during the festival and peak season. Visitors can use shuttle services for convenient sightseeing.

Recently, the People's Committee of Lung Cu commune established inspection teams to check food safety and hygiene, and tourism service prices at hotspots such as Lo Lo Chai village, ensuring tourists have a memorable experience when visiting Lung Cu.

The 2025 Buckwheat Flower Festival will run from November 29th to December 8th, featuring various activities such as buckwheat flower displays, art photography, experiencing local arts and culture, watching linen weaving, beeswax painting, and pounding sticky rice cakes with ethnic minority communities…

Buckwheat flowers in Tuyen Quang are planted on an area of ​​40 hectares in the villages of Sa Phin, Pho Cao, Lung Phin, Sung La, Pho Bang, Ma Le, and Lung Cam cultural village (Dong Van commune). The flowers are also planted along National Highway 4C connecting Dong Van and Meo Vac, and along Provincial Road 182B from Dong Van to Lung Cu.
