CAHN Club is currently in good form in the AFC Champions League Two.

Ahead of the third matchday of the group stage, CAHN is receiving a lot of attention as they host the Australian representative, Macarthur FC. The team playing at Hang Day Stadium is determined to take advantage of their home advantage to win against the strong opponent from the A-League, thereby consolidating their top position in the standings.

Coach Alexandre Polking affirmed that the Hanoi team had made thorough preparations in terms of tactics, physical fitness, and mentality. Despite the absence of key central defender Bui Hoang Viet Anh due to injury, CAHN still possesses a deep and high-quality squad, with a core of top-class foreign players.

CAHN's foreign players are of high caliber and have been outstanding in the early stages of the 2025-2026 season.

The Brazilian coach emphasized: “In international competitions, we are allowed to use more foreign players, and that is a significant advantage to maximize our collective strength. We aim to win all three points. This is a pivotal match in our journey to conquer the AFC Champions League Two. I want the players to show the highest fighting spirit to bring joy to the fans.”

Assessing their opponent, Polking said he had thoroughly studied Macarthur FC's playing style: "They are a strong team, with good speed and physique, and especially effective on the flanks. Immediately after the draw, I spoke with Stephan Mauk, who used to play for Macarthur and provided a lot of useful information. We reviewed their recent matches to devise a strategy to counter them. Playing at home at Hang Day Stadium will be a big advantage, giving us confidence in implementing our playing style."

Coach Polking is confident of securing three points when hosting the strong team from Australia.

Coach Polking also shared that the team's goal this season is to compete for titles in all competitions. However, CAHN will face a personnel challenge as they need to plan meticulously to constantly rotate the squad for the demanding schedule across all four international and domestic tournaments.

"In international competitions, the number of foreign players allowed is higher, so I believe CAHN Club can maximize its strength," Mr. Polking added, also suggesting that competing in the AFC environment helps Vietnamese players gain experience and improve their skills and professionalism.

Macarthur FC is known for its physique, speed, and aggressive playing style, but they are not showing any complacency as they travel to Vietnam. Coach Mile Sterjovski admitted he was impressed with the home team's playing style.

Macarthur FC is currently in third place in Group E with 3 points after two matches.

“We have thoroughly studied our opponents in the last two matches. They play a modern style, developing the ball from the back, with good coordination between defense and midfield. They possess many quality foreign players who can create breakthroughs at any time, so we have to be extremely vigilant,” said Macarthur FC's head coach.

The match between CAHN and Macarthur FC is not only of professional significance but also a measure of Vietnam's ability to integrate into the continental football arena. A positive result would affirm the increasingly strong position of the V-League as well as the serious investment efforts of Vietnamese clubs.

Hanoi Police FC is one of two Vietnamese representatives in the continental competition, alongside the reigning V-League champion Nam Dinh . Not only is the team participating in the AFC Champions League Two, but they are also competing in the V-League and the National Cup, thus requiring thorough preparation in terms of personnel.
