Not long ago, Apple revealed details about a special event it will hold on March 4th. According to numerous leaks, the company will introduce a new line of MacBook products at this event.

This is expected to be the lowest-priced MacBook Apple has ever announced. The product line will target younger users, with a variety of color options including silver, blue, pink, and gold. These options are similar to those found on the standard iPad tablet line.

According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, this version of the MacBook will be equipped with an A18 Pro processor, instead of the M series chips commonly found in current Mac products. The A18 Pro chip is the processor currently used in the iPhone 16 Pro series.

In performance benchmarks using the Geekbench application, the A18 Pro chip achieved around 3,500 single-core points, only slightly lower than the M4 chip found in the Mac Mini.

However, the multi-core scores differed significantly: the A18 Pro chip achieved approximately 8,780 multi-core points, while the M4 chip nearly doubled its performance with 15,000 multi-core points.

Kuo also stated that this product line will have a 13-inch screen size, similar to the current MacBook Air models. It's likely that Apple will reuse the MacBook Air design to optimize research and development costs.

Apple is reportedly planning to produce around 5-7 million units by 2026, representing a significant portion of its total Mac computer shipments.

The primary goal of this product line is to attract users with an accessible price point, expanding Apple's customer base in the laptop segment. The product will compete directly with Chromebooks and mainstream Windows PCs.

Besides the affordable MacBook model, Apple may also introduce a range of other products at this event, including the iPhone 17e, the iPad with the A17 chip, or a MacBook Air using the M5 processor.
