With over 85% of students being female, the Academy has become a leading provider of female human resources for various fields. Over 80% of students are employed immediately after graduation. Over the past 3 years, the Vietnam Women's Academy has maintained an impressive research record with an average of 20 grassroots-level projects, 5 ministerial-level projects, and 3 projects funded by NAFOSTED each year.

Every achievement has an important contribution from women.

Speaking at the meeting, on the occasion of Vietnamese Women's Day, on behalf of General Secretary, President To Lam and leaders of the Party and State, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh cordially sent to the collective leaders, cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers of the Vietnam Women's Academy in particular, the Vietnam Women's Union and all Vietnamese women in general, my respectful greetings, warm regards, and best wishes.

Reviewing the nation's arduous struggle, with many pains and losses in the struggle for national independence and reunification, as well as the process of overcoming the consequences of war, overcoming the long embargo period, and implementing the renovation process so that "Our country has never had such a foundation, potential, position and international prestige as today", the Prime Minister emphasized that women play an extremely important role in the development of each family, each community, society and each nation and ethnic group. In the glorious history of the nation, Vietnamese women have always played a particularly important role, making many great contributions to the process of building and defending the Fatherland.

"From the spirit of patriotism, indomitability, and indomitable spirit with the typical images of Ba Trung, Ba Trieu and many other predecessors in the past, to the shining examples of female revolutionaries Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, Vo Thi Sau, Nguyen Thi Dinh, Nguyen Thi Chien, Vo Thi Thang... and the noble sacrifice of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers in the struggle for national independence have become beautiful symbols of Vietnamese women, worthy of the eight golden words "Heroic, indomitable, loyal, and courageous" that beloved President Ho Chi Minh bestowed upon them," the Prime Minister said.

The Head of Government emphasized: The Party's and beloved Uncle Ho's viewpoint of "men and women's equality" was determined right in the Party's first Platform in 1930. Uncle Ho always cared about and highly appreciated the role of women and once advised: "Talking about women means talking about half of society. If we do not liberate women, we will not liberate half of humanity. If we do not liberate women, we will only build half of socialism."

In particular, he affirmed the position and role of Vietnamese women in the glorious revolutionary cause of our Party and our nation: "The beautiful mountains and rivers of Vietnam are woven and embroidered by our women, young and old, to make them more beautiful and brilliant."

Entering the period of innovation, integration and development, our Party and State always pay deep attention to the work of female cadres and gender equality with the consistent viewpoint of ensuring substantive equality between men and women in terms of opportunities, participation and enjoyment in the fields of politics, economics, culture and society.

The Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress determined: "Promoting the tradition, potential, strengths, and spirit of mastery and aspiration of women of all classes. Building Vietnamese women of the new era. Improving the quality of female human resources, meeting the requirements of sustainable development and international integration".

Many important policies, strategies and guidelines for women's development have been issued and effectively implemented by the Party and State, contributing to promoting the role and creating an environment for Vietnamese women to develop, increasingly affirm their position and contribute to society.

With the baggage of a good and glorious tradition from thousands of years ago, Vietnamese women today are always united, dynamic, creative, "good at national affairs, good at housework", both being a solid rear, taking care of the lives of each family, promoting the development of the community and society, and actively participating in building, protecting and developing the country quickly and sustainably.

"It can be said that anywhere, in any profession or field of the country, there is the presence and great role, and the tireless and persistent contributions of women," the head of the Government emphasized.

In particular, policies on gender equality and women's development in recent times have created an environment for women to increasingly affirm their position and have more opportunities to contribute to society; awareness of the role and position of women, women's work and gender equality has changed positively and achieved important results, recognized and highly appreciated by the United Nations and the international community.

The proportion of female National Assembly deputies for the 2021-2025 term is 30.3%, ranking 64th in the world, 4th in Asia and first in Southeast Asian countries. Ministries, ministerial-level agencies, and government agencies have female key leaders accounting for 50%. About 20% of small and medium-sized enterprises in Vietnam are owned by women. Vietnam's gender equality index in 2023 ranked 72/146 countries, up 11 places compared to 2022.

The Prime Minister pointed out that the Vietnam Women's Union - an organization representing the legitimate rights and interests of all classes of Vietnamese women - plays an important role in the successes of Vietnamese women; striving for the development of women and gender equality.

Established very early (October 20, 1930), from its predecessor, the Women's Liberation Association, through different periods with different names, the Vietnam Women's Union has always strived and developed over the past 90 years, becoming a large, widespread, comprehensive socio-political organization, mobilizing and gathering a large number of women from all walks of life to actively participate, creating motivation and inspiration for the political system, directly contributing to the cause of national construction, development and defense.

The Prime Minister was delighted to see that the Vietnam Women's Academy - a place to train and foster cadres of the Women's Union at all levels, cadres working on women's affairs, female cadres for the political system, and the only place in Vietnam to provide university training in "Gender and Development", has inherited and promoted the development achievements of more than 60 years of the Central Women's Cadre School; achieving important and very impressive achievements.

Accordingly, the scale of cadre training is increasing, making an important contribution to improving the capacity of the Women's Union at all levels. The topics of training for cadres are increasingly rich and diverse, with the core being women's work, gender equality, leadership and management, etc.

In the 12 years since its establishment, the total number of Association and female cadres trained and fostered by the Academy has reached nearly 48 thousand; especially nearly 300 cadres from Laos and Cambodia have been trained.

The Academy has made strong changes very early in applying information technology and digital transformation to staff training as well as university education, demonstrating dynamism, creativity, innovation, daring to think and dare to do.

Since 2014, the Academy has begun applying the online learning system to staff training, with the development of nearly 100 electronic lectures provided on an online platform; helping to shorten direct learning time and allow more learners.

The Academy has built and determined to pursue the philosophy of "comprehensive, quality and equal education", bearing noble identity and humanistic values; promoting an increasingly important role in raising awareness of gender equality as well as training highly qualified human resources in the fields of "Gender and Development" and social work.

Over the past 10 years, the Academy has organized training in a specific field of study on "Gender and Development", integrating at least one gender subject into most of its fields of study. At the same time, it is determined to develop to become one of the two universities in Vietnam that offers training at all three levels: undergraduate, master's and doctoral in social work.

On behalf of the Government, the Prime Minister commended and highly appreciated the efforts and achievements of the Vietnam Women's Academy in particular and the Vietnam Women's Union in general, contributing to the cause of women's advancement and affirming the particularly important role of Vietnamese women in the cause of national construction and defense.
