The future of manager Ruben Amorim at Man Utd continues to be the focus of attention following the heavy 0-3 defeat to Man City at the Etihad Stadium on the evening of September 14th. However, according to several sources from England, co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe still has no intention of making a change on the Red Devils' coaching bench.

This past summer, Man Utd spent over £200 million to strengthen their attacking lineup with a host of stars such as Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo, and Benjamin Sesko. These expensive signings were expected to revitalize their attack. However, Man Utd still played ineffectively and lacked creativity. They lacked diverse options to threaten the opponent's goal.
Since replacing manager Ten Hag last November, Amorim has only led Man Utd to 8 wins in 31 Premier League matches. The club has just experienced its worst start in the Premier League era, with only 4 points from 4 games.
Despite the poor results, the 40-year-old strategist insisted he would not change his football philosophy. He declared: "I will not change my philosophy. If they want to change it, they have to change it on the coaching bench."
This statement immediately sparked speculation about his future at Old Trafford, especially amid growing pressure to sack manager Amorim.
According to the Manchester Evening News, Manchester United owners Sir Jim Ratcliffe and the Glazer Amorim family are still deciding to be patient with manager Amorim, who is under contract until 2027. A close source even expressed surprise that his position hasn't actually been put in jeopardy.

Sky Sports also revealed that Sir Jim Ratcliffe still trusts Amorim, but could still sack the Portuguese manager if the situation doesn't improve.
Journalist Kaveh Solhekol commented: “If they continue to play like this, they will most likely finish in the bottom half of the table, just like last season. And if that happens, INEOS (headed by Sir Jim Ratcliffe) could very well make the decision to change managers, just as they did with coach Ten Hag last November when the team finished 14th.”
