Man Utd sets Garnacho's price unbelievably low, fans express outrage.

(Dan Tri Newspaper) - Many Manchester United fans are furious that the Red Devils are asking only £40 million for Garnacho.

Following a disappointing season, Man Utd will undertake a major squad overhaul during the 2025 summer transfer window. Garnacho is considered one of the players most likely to leave the Red Devils.

The Argentinian star had a falling out with manager Ruben Amorim towards the end of the season. After the Europa League final, Garnacho criticized Amorim for using him too little. Subsequently, the Portuguese manager reportedly "fired" Garnacho in front of the entire Manchester United team.

According to The Guardian, Manchester United initially wanted around £50 million for the young Argentinian talent. However, amid interest from Napoli, the Old Trafford club is said to have lowered the price to just £40 million to sell Garnacho quickly.

Following this news, Manchester United fans expressed their outrage. One person commented on Twitter: "If Man Utd sell Garnacho for £40 million, they will become a laughing stock."

Others have compared the two: “Jhon Duran is worth £65 million, Nico Gonzalez £50 million, Moussa Diaby £50 million, Teun Koopmeiners £46.1 million, Joao Felix £42 million, Manuel Ugarte £42 million, Galeno £42 million. And Garnacho, who is only 20 years old, has scored and assisted 38 goals in the last two seasons, and his contract runs until 2028, why is he only worth £40 million?”

Another person asserted: "Imagine a team asking to buy an Argentinian player like Garnacho from Man Utd; they would certainly be asked for a much higher price."

The fourth person wrote: "That price is ridiculous. I don't understand how Man Utd negotiates like that?"

When asked about the possibility of Garnacho continuing with the club, his teammate Amad Diallo gave an ambiguous answer: "He's a good player, and we always need good players to stay. I hope to continue playing alongside him."

Despite having a long-term contract, Garnacho's future at Old Trafford is becoming uncertain. A departure for £40 million could be one of the most criticized transfers at Manchester United this summer.

Besides Garnacho, Man Utd also intends to sell a number of "surplus" players such as Rashford, Sancho, Antony… to raise funds for new star signings.
