In the early morning of November 20th, at kilometer 226+500 on Mimosa Pass (in Xuan Huong ward, Da Lat city, Lam Dong province), a serious landslide caused the entire road surface to break, completely cutting off the route in the direction of Duc Trong - Da Lat.

Initial observations indicate the sinkhole is approximately 50 meters wide and 30 meters deep, with a 100-meter-long skid mark, causing the road surface to split into two parts.

At the time of the incident, several vehicles approaching the fault line managed to make emergency stops, including a 45-seat passenger bus. Rescue forces quickly approached, pulled, and pushed the bus, implementing appropriate measures to move it out of the dangerous area, ensuring the safety of passengers and the driver.

Immediately afterwards, the Lam Dong Provincial Police, the Traffic Police Department, the Fire and Rescue forces, and local authorities cordoned off the scene, placed warning signs, organized lighting, and remotely monitored people and vehicles. Technical teams were mobilized to survey the slopes, embankments, roadbeds and surfaces, assess geological stability to propose solutions, and clear waterways to limit the spread of erosion.
