According to MRB, the second TBM (Tunnel Boring Machine) that departed from station S9 - Kim Ma on February 3, 2025, has drilled a tunnel with a total length of approximately 1,353m/2,592m to reach station S10 - Cat Linh, equivalent to 902 tunnel lining rings that have been installed, strictly adhering to technical, safety, and environmental standards.

Meanwhile, TBM No. 1 is also on schedule. The machine started at station S9 on July 30, 2024, and successively arrived at station S10 - Cat Linh on March 7, 2025, and station S11 - Van Mieu on July 28, 2025. It has now completed the installation of a total of 1,360 tunnel lining rings, with a total drilling length of approximately 2,040m/2,580m.
TBM No. 1 is preparing to continue drilling the section from station S11 to station S12, and has already installed 2 out of 7 temporary tunnel lining rings.

Mr. Nguyen Ba Son, Deputy Head of the MRB Board , affirmed that the event of the TBM No. 2 tunnel boring machine "boldly" entering the S10 - Cat Linh underground station is an important milestone, demonstrating the sense of responsibility and persistent efforts of the entire team of officials, engineers, experts and workers of the project.
This achievement is also the result of close coordination between relevant units and the support and cooperation of the people of Hanoi throughout the construction process.



Meanwhile, Mr. Park Young Ill, Project Director, representing the Hyundai - Ghella Joint Venture, shared his pride in achieving this important milestone together with MRB and its partners.
The successful entry of TBM No. 2 into the S10 - Cat Linh station is not only a technical achievement but also affirms the effectiveness of close and professional cooperation between international engineers and experts and the Vietnamese staff and workers.


To date, the overall construction progress of package CP03 - Tunnel and underground stations has reached 66.46%. The underground stations are currently under construction for auxiliary components (ventilation shafts, access stairs), while station S12 is under construction for the station base structure.
Tunnel lining casting work has been completed for 2,939 out of 3,488 tunnel lining rings, meeting the schedule required for the operation of 2 TBM machines.
