PSG's victory over Tottenham in the UEFA Super Cup on the morning of August 14th not only brought the club its fifth trophy of the year but also marked a historic milestone for Nuno Mendes. The Portuguese left-back increased his total number of collective titles to 14, becoming the most decorated player at the age of 23.
Before this match, Mendes was equal to Kingsley Coman with 13 titles. Now, he surpasses Kylian Mbappe (12), as well as many legends such as Pele and Lionel Messi (both 11), or Cristiano Ronaldo and Joao Neves (both 10).
Mendes's trophy collection began on January 23, 2021, when he and Sporting Lisbon defeated SC Braga to win the Portuguese League Cup. While playing for the "Lisbon Lions," Mendes went on to add the national championship and the Portuguese Super Cup to his collection before moving to PSG.
