According to Microsoft, the update, codenamed KB5039212, focuses on the Windows 11 operating system and addresses a total of 51 recently discovered security vulnerabilities, promising to help protect hundreds of millions of users more effectively.

Reporting on specific patches, Microsoft stated that a total of 18 vulnerabilities related to remote code execution, or RCE, were addressed. Most importantly, a zero-day vulnerability in Windows called KeyTrap – identified as CVE-2023-50868 – was discovered and patched, affecting DNS server security and leading to access denials. Additionally, the company also fixed seven bugs in the Microsoft Edge web browser.
Microsoft experts recommend that if users encounter problems using certain online applications, they should update and install the latest version of Windows 11 as soon as possible. To do this, users simply need to access Windows Update in the system settings. The update will then begin downloading and installing.
According to the company, Windows users need to update their devices as soon as possible to fix all the vulnerabilities that have now been patched.
