Southern region continues its upward trend.

Today, February 17, 2025, the price of live pigs recorded a renewed upward trend in the Southern region. Meanwhile, prices remained unchanged in the Northern and Central-Central Highlands regions.

Northern region

Today's live pig prices (February 17, 2025) in the northern region continue to remain stable across provinces and cities.

Currently, live pig prices in this region remain in the range of 70,000 - 72,000 VND/kg. Phu Tho and Bac Giang are the two localities with the highest live pig prices in the region at 72,000 VND/kg. Lao Cai , Nam Dinh, and Ninh Binh have the lowest prices, all trading at 70,000 VND/kg. The remaining provinces are trading at around 71,000 VND/kg.

Central and Central Highlands region

Similarly, today's (February 17, 2025) live pig prices in the Central and Central Highlands regions continue to remain stable.

Currently, live pig prices in this region range from 69,000 to 72,000 VND/kg. Quang Tri, Quang Nam, Khanh Hoa, and Binh Dinh have the lowest live pig prices in the region at 69,000 VND/kg. Conversely, Binh Thuan and Lam Dong have the highest live pig prices in the region at 72,000 VND/kg. The remaining provinces are trading at around 70,000 VND/kg.

Southern region

Pork prices in the Southern region today (February 17, 2025) recorded a renewed upward trend, with localities such as Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Thap, Tien Giang, Bac Lieu, and Soc Trang all increasing by 1,000 VND/kg.

Currently, live pig prices in this region remain fluctuating between 70,000 and 73,000 VND/kg. With the price increase this morning, live pig prices in Dong Thap and Soc Trang provinces have both reached 73,000 VND/kg, on par with Dong Nai, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Can Tho, and Ca Mau provinces. Other provinces and cities in the region are generally trading in the range of 70,000 - 72,000 VND/kg.

Overall, today's live pig prices (February 17, 2025) remained stable in the Northern and Central-Central Highlands regions, while some provinces and cities in the South saw a resurgence in prices. Currently, live pig prices are trading in the range of 69,000 – 73,000 VND/kg.
