The South continues to grow

Pig prices today, February 17, 2025, recorded an increase again in the Southern region. Meanwhile, prices in the Northern region and the Central Highlands remained unchanged.

Northern region

Pig prices today (February 17, 2025) in the Northern region continue to maintain stability in provinces and cities.

Currently, the price of live pigs in this region is maintained at around 70,000 - 72,000 VND/kg. Of which, Phu Tho and Bac Giang are the two localities with the highest price of live pigs in the region at 72,000 VND/kg. Meanwhile, Lao Cai, Nam Dinh and Ninh Binh are the two localities with the lowest price in the region, all trading at 70,000 VND/kg. The remaining provinces trade at 71,000 VND/kg.

Central Highlands region

Similarly, the price of live pigs today (February 17, 2025) in the Central Highlands region continued to stagnate.

Currently, the price of live pigs in this region fluctuates between 69,000 - 72,000 VND/kg. Of which, Quang Tri, Quang Nam , Khanh Hoa, Binh Dinh sell the lowest price of live pigs in the region at 69,000 VND/kg. On the contrary, Binh Thuan and Lam Dong have the highest price of live pigs in the region at 72,000 VND/kg. The remaining provinces trade at 70,000 VND/kg.

Southern region

The price of live pigs in the Southern region today (February 17, 2025) recorded an increase again when localities such as Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Thap, Tien Giang , Bac Lieu and Soc Trang all increased by 1,000 VND/kg.

Currently, the price of live pigs in this area is still fluctuating between 70,000 - 73,000 VND/kg. With the price increase this morning, the price of live pigs in the two provinces of Dong Thap and Soc Trang reached 73,000 VND/kg, equal to the provinces of Dong Nai, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Can Tho, and Ca Mau. Meanwhile, the prices of other provinces in the area fluctuated between 70,000 - 72,000 VND/kg.

In general, the price of live pigs today (February 17, 2025) recorded stability in the Northern and Central Highlands regions, while some southern provinces and cities increased again. Currently, the price of live pigs is being traded in the range of 69,000 - 73,000 VND/kg.
