Pregnant woman MTT (32 years old, residing in Tuyen Phu commune, Quang Tri province ) was admitted to the hospital at 34 weeks of pregnancy with abdominal pain. An ultrasound revealed a high-risk multiple pregnancy with a knotted umbilical cord. Following a consultation, the team led by Dr. Hoang Van Toan, Head of the Obstetrics Department, performed an emergency cesarean section.

The three baby boys were born weighing 2.1kg, 2.1kg, and 2kg respectively, and are in stable condition, not requiring oxygen support. Currently, both the mother and the babies are safe.
According to hospital representatives, multiple pregnancies always carry many obstetric risks; therefore, pregnant women need regular prenatal checkups and monitoring at reputable medical facilities to promptly address any complications. This is one of the rare cases of triplets born in the area, bringing great joy to the family and the medical team.
