Record holder Arushi Bhatnagar was born on 1.6.2002 in India. As a toddler, Arushi loved to play with colors on the floor. Her father was amazed by her drawings, he did not scold her but encouraged her to play with colors more. This helped Arushi Bhatnagar become a famous painter later, an abstract artist with the art of shaping, color composition and different strokes.

At an age when most children have not yet learned to sit and can only express themselves through signs, Arushi started painting when she was 4 months old. She then had her first solo exhibition on 11th May 2003 at Kalidasa Akademi, Ujjain city.
This exhibition consisted of 52 paintings, at that time she was just 344 days old, that is 11 months old, and soon after Arushi Bhatnagar set a Guinness World Record as the “Youngest Professional Artist” through this exhibition, where her first artwork was sold and since then she never stopped.
Received compliments from the President of India
According to the arushi art page, Arushi's achievements have been published in the Guinness World Records 2007 and 2012. To date, she has held 15 solo and 1 group exhibitions, received 12 awards and 25 titles, and has collections with famous galleries. Her artworks are sold in many countries: the United States, Italy, Hungary, India and especially in Dubai (United Arab Emirates).
One of her artworks is in the collection of the prestigious President of India Art Gallery. She is the youngest recipient of the POGO Amazing Kid Award 2005 and was the chief guest at the inauguration of Shankar’s New Art Gallery and International Exhibition at EMERALD Heights School, Indore (India).
The Times of India solemnly reported that Arushi Bhatnagar received the title of Youngest Professional Artist by Guinness World Records.
One of the memorable moments of Arushi Bhatnagar was when she was invited to meet the President on the occasion of Children’s Day on 14th November 2011. She received praise from the current President of India, and former President APJ Kalam. Recently, she was honoured for her global achievements by Sant MuniShri Tarun Sagar, a renowned Indian spiritual leader.
Additionally, Arushi Bhatnagar is recognized as one of the Top 5 World Record Breaking Children. The Bangkok-based website sudspada.com has ranked her among the top 16 female world record breakers.
Arushi Bhatnagar enjoys using crayons, watercolors, acrylics, oils, pastels, glass and ink. When asked which of her paintings is her favorite, Arushi replied, “I have created many paintings. However, one of my best works is an oil painting of a yellow-green forest with a lot of people visiting a temple.”
Most of the money Arushi receives from her exhibitions and paintings is donated to an NGO called Rekhankan in Bhopal, India, which helps underprivileged children and promotes art. She also donates her earnings to the NGO. She only keeps a portion for her living expenses and to buy new paints, canvases and brushes.

She has so far had 16 exhibitions in major cities of India like Ujjain, Indore, Bhopal, New Delhi and Pune. After becoming a professional artist, she wanted to try her hand at photography. And as a first step, Arushi has won gold and bronze medals in photography at a national competition.
Apart from being a two-time Guinness World Record holder, Arushi Bhatnagar also holds the record for Youngest Professional Artist in the Asia Book of Records as well as the IBR (India) Book of Records. Arushi’s abstract expressionist works have also helped her win the title of Art Queen for Amazing Indians Season 2 by the Times & Mahindra Group .
