Over the past 150 years, The Tale of Kieu has undergone numerous reprints, revisions, and illustrations in various forms, reflecting the richness of approaches and printing aesthetics across different periods.

At the program, collector Du Thanh Khiem recounted his years abroad collecting rare editions of The Tale of Kieu . Sharing the reason for his perseverance on this challenging journey, he said: "Collecting is about preserving time, and I've always cherished that. Moreover, each book has its own history and story, and we should appreciate it."

As a historical researcher, Dr. Bui Tran Phuong explains the linguistic value in The Tale of Kieu , from Sino-Vietnamese characters to Nom script and the modern Vietnamese alphabet. This serves as an anchor point for understanding the work, bringing it closer to life, especially for young people. According to her, although the characters and plot of The Tale of Kieu are by Thanh Tam Tai Nhan, the spirit that Nguyen Du brings to it is close and profound to the Vietnamese people.
