With a coastline stretching 35km and a sea and beach area of approximately 23,620 hectares, the waters of Hai Ha are home to many valuable seafood species such as shrimp, crab, fish, blood cockles, and sea worms . Therefore, not only local fishermen but also fishermen from other localities in the province and from other provinces come to Hai Ha to exploit its marine resources.
From the perspective of author Dinh Nhu Thai, these precious seafood items are gifts that the sea has bestowed upon humanity. Through this perspective, the author has created a photo series titled "Gifts from the Sea" and submitted it to the "Happy Vietnam" photo and video contest , organized by the Ministry of Information and Communications .
The locals diligently work at harvesting seafood every day.
The people harvest the abundant gifts of the sea.
Hai Ha District, Quang Ninh Province, has over 10km of coastline, with tidal currents flowing in and out of river estuaries, creating thousands of hectares of alluvial plains, which are very favorable for clams to live and thrive. This is one of the key aquatic resources in the district's economic development.
