At around 9:00 p.m. on June 13, in the Van Toc village area, Quang Duc commune, Hai Ha district, the working group of Quang Duc Border Guard Station coordinated with the Northern Drug and Crime Prevention Task Force to inspect a truck with license plate 14K-020.29 that showed signs of suspicion.
Upon inspection, the authorities discovered 30 sacks of pineapples in the truck, containing young chicken eggs with a total weight of about 1,170 kg. Mr. Tang Van Thuy (born in 1995, residing in Khay Phau village, Quang Duc commune, Hai Ha district), the driver and owner of the vehicle, was unable to present any documents proving the legal origin of the goods.
Currently, the Quang Duc Border Guard Station is coordinating with relevant agencies to continue investigating, clarifying and handling the case according to the provisions of law.
Strictly controlling food products of unknown origin is one of the key tasks to protect consumers' health and prevent food safety risks in border areas.
