Lang Son receives the title "World's Best Tourist Village 2025"

On the evening of November 7, 2025, at Bac Son Commune Stadium (Lang Son Province), Quynh Son Community Tourism Village received the "Best Tourist Village of 2025" Award from the United Nations Tourism Organization (UN Tourism).

The title of “ World’s Best Tourist Village 2025” for Quynh Son (Lang Son) was selected by the United Nations Tourism Organization (UN Tourism) based on the criteria of core values ​​of natural resources and indigenous culture, and at the same time, having innovative actions and commitments to develop tourism in line with the United Nations’ sustainable development goals.

Accordingly, in February 2025, the Lang Son Provincial Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center prepared a dossier to submit to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism to submit to UN Tourism for review of the title.

After being selected from 270 applications from 65 countries, Quynh Son was honored at the award ceremony in Huzhou city, Zhejiang province (China) on October 17, 2025.

This award not only honors a local tourist destination of Lang Son but also contributes to helping Vietnam tourism orient, promote and develop the tourism industry in a sustainable and responsible manner, bringing economic and cultural benefits to the local community, as well as marking the position of Lang Son tourism on the world tourism map.

Mr. Trinh Minh Tuan - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Son commune affirmed that the title of World's Best Tourist Village 2025 that Quynh Son community tourism village received demonstrated the consensus of the government and the community, becoming a driving force for Bac Son to develop sustainable, friendly tourism, imbued with the identity of the homeland.

Ms. Tran Thi Bich Hanh - Deputy Director of the Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion of Lang Son province added that the awarding of the title to Quynh Son village this time is an opportunity to help Lang Son promote the local tourism brand to the international market.

“We will continue to accompany the locality in building new products, attracting investment and spreading the sustainable community tourism model,” Ms. Bich Hanh expressed.

On this occasion, Lang Son province also officially opened the "Bac Son Golden Season Festival 2025" which will last from now until November 15. Many activities will take place at the festival such as rice pounding competition, black banh chung wrapping, rice harvesting, SUP rafting on the golden valley, OCOP product exhibition, highland culinary space and tourism fair.

The event promises to attract many domestic and foreign tourists to participate and experience a cultural space rich in national identity.

In recent years, Lang Son province has focused on building the Quynh Son community tourism village brand into a green and sustainable community tourism destination. The locality has focused on improving infrastructure in conjunction with environmental protection, along with preserving landscapes and traditional architecture.
