Land of "grass and rocks"

On Highway 20, through Dinh Quan district, many passengers will be attracted by the rock formation with giant rocks towering on both sides of the road.

Interspersed with towering rocks are green trees and grass, creating a unique natural space.

Among them, the most impressive are the Ba Chong stone block and the Elephant stone with a giant Buddha statue on its back (locals call it Buddha stone), making many people passing by admire and enjoy it.

Mr. Nguyen Nho Kien, Director of Meerkat Travel Service - Tourism Company Limited, a business specializing in exploiting adventure tours and exploring nature in Dinh Quan district, said that Meerkat Travel is currently exploiting tours to explore rocks, caves and Gia Canh forest. The company has 3 main products.

The first is a 3-star OCOP community tourism product called “Gia Canh - Peaceful Land” - taking tourists on a bike ride to explore the rice fields in Gia Canh commune and Bat Cave.

The second main product is Meerkat Travel - cycling through the protective forest in Gia Canh commune and exploring the vast Bay Mau rock in the middle of the forest.

The unique feature of this tourism product is the cool green natural space and the nearly 10-hectare rock. On top of the rock is a small, mysterious forest that stimulates the curiosity of visitors, especially young people.

The final main tourism product is cycling through Gia Canh forest from Dinh Quan district to Tinh Nhan rock and Nam Tai rock in Tan Phu district.

Mr. Nguyen Hoang Tan, a tourist from District 7, Ho Chi Minh City, shared that he and his family of four had participated in a tour to explore the Phu Dien countryside, Nam Tai rock and Chu Thap rock in Tan Phu district organized by Tri An Adventure Company.

Mr. Tan's family especially enjoys the early morning atmosphere of cycling on the country roads, watching the sunrise and enjoying the Vietnamese countryside atmosphere with the scent of young rice stretching endlessly across the fields.

The tour creates excitement for visitors with activities such as fishing, picking vegetables, wading in fields, climbing rocks, etc. I will come back with my family or friends to continue exploring other new lands in Dinh Quan.”

Ms. Tran Thi Thuy Dung, a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City, said that during a trip with a group of friends to Tan Phu - Dinh Quan, she was very impressed with the natural landscape and experiential activities.

However, when you want to buy souvenirs or specialties as gifts for relatives, it is quite limited. There are almost no places that sell specialties and rich souvenirs.

According to Ms. Thuy Dung, tourists want to buy gifts for their relatives. Simple gifts from the countryside, not too expensive but local products, will make tourists feel complete during their trip.

Meanwhile, Dong Nai is known as the fruit capital of the Southeast region, many traditional craft villages, especially OCOP products of Dong Nai people are rated as quite high quality. These are factors to contribute to increasing promotion channels and increasing revenue for local farmers.

Dong Nai has many advantages to develop tourism. The biggest advantage is the synchronous development of transport infrastructure with key regional and national projects such as: Long Thanh International Airport Project expected to welcome guests in 2026; railway and highway projects connecting the Southeast region and the whole country in the future will be the "leverage" for Dong Nai tourism to "take off".
