1 ONLY (real name Pham Nhat Thanh) publicly apologizes to Do Mixi, rapper QNT, and those affected after the scandal. Regarding the Dissneeland event, the rapper said: "I want to offer my sincere apologies to Độ Mixi's family, who were directly affected by this incident. The punchlines were intended to attack the opponent but used inappropriate and inaccurate information."
"When criticized, I realized my mistake. I accept being attacked by the online community for my misleading statements. As Độ Mixi shared, his family will be affected by seeing the video . Therefore, I hope everyone will stop spreading the video," 1ONLY continued.
Shortly afterward, the rapper announced his withdrawal from the 1337 Battle group and the Dissneeland community.
"From today, I officially withdraw from 1337 Battle and the Dissneeland community. I made this decision because I feel I haven't fulfilled my duties as a passionate Battle Rap artist, and I've also negatively impacted everyone, especially Độ Mixi, QNT, and their fans. Thank you for the time we spent together, and I wish 1337 Battle and the Dissneeland community continued growth," the rapper wrote.
1ONLY stated that after the incident, his phone number and those of many group members received numerous harassing calls and online orders. He announced his withdrawal to avoid implicating others.
The incident occurred when 1ONLY faced off against a rapper at a Dissneeland event, hosted by MC ILL (Hung Cao). This was a pre-arranged rap battle with a referee. The rappers would rap without a beat, aiming to attack their opponent with their lyrics. Regardless of the content, as long as the rapper wrote powerful and impactful rap lines, especially punchlines, they would convince the majority.
1ONLY didn't directly mention Độ Mixi's name in their attacks. However, the subtle innuendo in the rapper's rap lyrics immediately made viewers think of Độ Mixi. This included the way 1ONLY twisted the word "mixi" into "ximi," and mentioning selling babythree and dried chicken, which are part of Độ Mixi's business.
Even more seriously, 1ONLY used a bar to tell the story of a woman betrayed by her husband, losing her family to a "mistress." When Độ Mixi saw this part, he was shocked and said, "I'm just afraid that when my mother wakes up tomorrow morning, she will be shocked."
After the video was made public online, 1ONLY faced intense criticism from the rap community. Under immense pressure from the online community, MC ILL had to publicly apologize to Độ Mixi, rapper QNT, and the community supporting those involved.
