(To Quoc) - The kapok tree is usually associated with the peaceful scenery of the countryside. However, in the heart of Hanoi , one can still find kapok trees that seem to ignite the sky with their vibrant blossoms.

Hanoi has twelve seasons of flowers, each with its own unique beauty. And every year in March and April, when spring transitions into summer, we see the "Shining kapok tree in bloom. From the depths of the banyan tree and village communal house..." ablaze with the vibrant red of kapok flowers, like a burning, intense yearning.

The kapok tree is also known simply as Bombax ceiba, or in the Central Highlands as pơ lang. In Vietnam, kapok trees can be found in many villages in the North, sometimes standing majestically at the edge of the village, sometimes alone in the middle of a field, or along dike roads…

In particular, the Hoan Kiem Lake area also attracts a large number of people who come to admire and capture beautiful images of the "rice flower season".

The period when the kapok flowers are in full bloom lasts for 2-3 weeks, usually until the end of March and the beginning of April.

Hai Son (Da Nang) said: "While traveling around Ho Guom Lake, I witnessed the beautiful kapok flowers in bloom. I've known about them for a long time, but only now have I had the opportunity to take photos to preserve the memory."
