Specifically, at Vietcombank , the USD exchange rate is 24,770 - 25,300 VND/USD, a decrease of 160 VND in the buying rate and a decrease of 30 VND in the selling rate compared to yesterday.

The Dollar Index (DXY), which measures the USD against six major currencies (EUR, JPY, GBP, CAD, SEK, CHF), closed at 107.45 - down 0.68 points from the trading session on January 24, 2025.

The US dollar fell on Friday and is poised to record its biggest weekly decline in more than a year after President Donald Trump suggested a softer stance on tariffs against China, adding to the uncertainty surrounding trade policy that has kept stock markets on edge.
On Thursday, Trump told Fox News that his recent conversation with President Xi Jinping was very friendly and that he thought he could reach a trade deal with China.
"We have a huge advantage over China, and that's tariffs, and they don't want to use them, and I don't want to have to use them, but it's a huge advantage over China," he said.
The US dollar fell as much as 0.8% against a basket of currencies on Friday, before narrowing its losses by the end of the day to 0.65%. But the currency still posted its biggest weekly loss since November 2023, down 1.8% since Monday.
Some analysts warn that the US dollar could appreciate again if US tariff and interest rate policies change.
Simon MacAdam, deputy global economist at Capital Economics, said: "We believe the dollar will appreciate further. The appreciation so far reflects both the strength of US economic data against peer economies and investors' assessment of Trump's policies, both of which have contributed to the shift in interest rate differentials in favor of the dollar ."
The MSCI index for global equities (.MIWD00000PUS) ended little changed, while stocks on Wall Street were subdued. The S&P 500 (.SPX) fell 0.3%, the Dow Jones Industrial Average (.DJI) declined 0.3%, and the Nasdaq Composite dropped 0.5%.
China's stock and currency markets surged following Trump's comments, pushing the blue-chip index (.CSI300) up 0.8% and the yuan stronger against the dollar, although it fell 0.7% to 7.239 in offshore markets.
Oil prices stabilized and eased losses incurred after Trump announced he would ask Saudi Arabia and OPEC to lower oil prices.
US crude oil futures edged higher to $74.66 a barrel, while Brent crude rose 0.3% to $78.50.
