The delegates unanimously approved a resolution stipulating the fee rates, collection methods, management, and use of entrance fees for the Hai Van Pass National Historical and Architectural Monument.
The proposed entrance fee, to be uniformly applied to both Vietnamese and international visitors at the Hai Van Pass national historical site, is 70,000 VND per person per visit.
The resolution also stipulates that Vietnamese citizens are exempt from entrance fees to historical sites on the first day of the Lunar New Year, as well as on several other important national holidays and holidays of the two cities of Hue and Da Nang .
Visitors with disabilities, those eligible for cultural privileges, children, students, and organizations and individuals coming for research or collaboration are also exempt from or entitled to reduced fees when visiting historical sites.

The issuance of regulations on entrance fees to Hai Van Pass aims to ensure funding for the management, protection, regular maintenance, preservation, and promotion of the historical site's value.
Hai Van Pass, renowned as "the most magnificent pass in the world," is located at the summit of Hai Van Pass, at an altitude of 490 meters above sea level. The site is situated in the area of Chan May - Lang Co commune (Hue) and Hai Van ward (Da Nang).
This site, built during the Tran Dynasty and restored during the Nguyen Dynasty (in the 7th year of Minh Mang's reign, 1826), is a military defense complex with many structures including a system of ramparts, warehouses, and cannon fortresses. During the Nguyen Dynasty, Hai Van Pass was an important location, the gateway to the capital city of Hue from the south. On April 14, 2017, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism classified Hai Van Pass as a national historical site.
However, due to a long period without restoration and preservation, the monument has seriously deteriorated. In 2021, the Hue Ancient Citadel Relics Conservation Center, in coordination with the Da Nang City Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, launched a project to preserve, restore, and promote the value of this monument with a total investment of over 42 billion VND.
From August 1st, 2024, the Hai Van Pass historical site will begin offering free admission to visitors. Subsequently, the two localities agreed to implement a rotating management mechanism every three years. Currently, Hue City is in charge (from 2026 to the end of 2028).
