With the arrival of spring, people are focusing on caring for and expanding effective production models. The "Our Own Farm" model continues to be maintained in the Buc and Chieng Thuong sub-districts with an area of 8.2 hectares, attracting 50 participating households. The total area of fruit trees in the commune reached 388 hectares with main varieties such as mangoes, longan, bananas, and citrus fruits; the estimated yield is over 329 tons. These figures reflect a shift in production thinking, gradually forming concentrated production areas linked to increasing the value of agricultural products.
Alongside crop cultivation, livestock farming continues to be maintained at a stable level. The total livestock population in the commune reached 10,947 animals, and poultry over 133,500. Disease prevention and control measures have been prioritized and implemented, contributing to controlling African swine fever and limiting its widespread spread. Vaccination efforts have been carried out comprehensively with thousands of doses of various vaccines, creating favorable conditions for people to confidently restock and develop livestock farming in the new year.

In the field of forestry, Phu Yen currently has a total natural area of nearly 11,800 hectares, of which over 5,700 hectares are forested, with a forest cover rate of 48.71%, exceeding the set plan. The headwater forests are well protected, contributing to water and soil conservation for the Muong Tac plain and creating sustainable livelihoods for people living in close connection with the forest.
The industrial, handicraft, and trade-service sectors were also extremely vibrant. Last year, the output of construction stone reached over 12,300 m³; commercial electricity output reached approximately 30.5 million kWh; and shoe and footwear manufacturing facilities maintained stable production of millions of products. Trade and service activities were strictly managed, and the goods market remained basically stable, meeting the consumption needs of the people, especially during the Lunar New Year.

The rural landscape of Phu Yen is increasingly improving thanks to infrastructure investment. The entire commune currently has 47 irrigation works with nearly 78 km of canals, of which more than 45 km have been dredged and repaired this year, ensuring irrigation water for over 900 hectares of rice fields. The second phase of the Tac stream embankment project, with a total investment of 20 billion VND, has achieved 99% disbursement, contributing to protecting agricultural land, residential areas, and stabilizing the lives of the people.
Speaking about the development orientation for the new year, Comrade Dinh Duc Thang, Chairman of the People's Committee of Phu Yen commune, said: The commune will focus on developing the economy in a sustainable direction, increasing productivity and value of agricultural production; continuing to maintain the area of double-cropping rice at over 900 hectares, expanding winter crop production with about 150 hectares of cash crops. Along with that, it will attract investment, develop trade and services, improve the quality of OCOP products, linked with digital transformation and improving the investment environment. Social welfare, education, health, national defense and security will be ensured, creating a foundation for long-term development.

These goals are set against the backdrop of an increasingly stable social life. By 2025, the entire commune will create jobs for hundreds of workers through production, business, and policy-based credit; the poverty rate will decrease to 2.94%, and the near-poverty rate to 3.77%. Care for war veterans and social welfare beneficiaries will be fully implemented, with thousands of allowance payments, visits, and gift-giving during holidays and Tet (Lunar New Year).
This spring, the joy is doubled for the people of Chieng Thuong sub-district, as there are no longer any impoverished households this year. To achieve this result, 180 households in the sub-district actively maintained 42 hectares of double-cropped rice with stable yields; the third crop expanded to nearly 1 hectare of cash crops, increasing income. The "Our Own Rice Field" model attracted 32 households participating with 5.8 hectares, contributing to the innovation of farming practices. Mr. Bac Tam Nhi, Party Secretary and Sub-district Head, shared: "From the beginning of the twelfth lunar month, the Party branch held meetings to discuss and agree on a plan for celebrating Tet (Lunar New Year). The sub-district organized a general environmental cleanup, beautified internal village roads, encouraged people to hang the national flag, and prepared cultural and artistic activities. Visits to families of policy beneficiaries were carried out early; every household prepared to welcome the spring in a warm and joyful atmosphere."

The spring sunshine shines brighter over the Muong Tac fields, amidst the lively sounds of drums and the fluttering of vibrant red flags. Every resident of Suoi Tac village is confident in a prosperous new year, with ever-expanding organic rice paddies and increasingly innovative production and business practices.
