According to information from the North Central Hydrometeorological Station, on April 3, the whole Nghe An province experienced hot and extremely hot weather, with the highest temperature commonly ranging from 38 - 40 degrees Celsius, with some places over 41 degrees Celsius such as: Do Luong, Tuong Duong, Con Cuong, Vinh city...

The intense heat is forecast to last until April 5. People are advised to cover up carefully and limit going out between 11am and 1pm, when temperatures are highest during the day.

Since early morning, Vinh city residents have begun to feel the intensity of the heat wave. Pedestrians are equipped with sun protection clothing, hats, masks, and gloves to protect themselves from the scorching sun.

From around 11am, the temperature outside exceeded 40 degrees Celsius. The peak of the early summer sun quickly exhausted workers when doing heavy work outside. In the photo, a porter at Vinh market bus station at noon on April 3.

Working in the hot sun of over 40 degrees, the concrete yard absorbs heat, and having to carry heavy goods is exhausting.

This woman had to use a towel to cover her head to protect herself from the sun. After a while of working, her face turned pale and sweat poured down.

Taking advantage of the time when there was no cargo to transport, Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa (residing in Hong Son ward, Vinh city) found a shady place to sit and rest. Mr. Khoa has 8 years of experience in the transport and porterage industry. “I start work at dawn, carrying whatever people hire me to do, as long as I can earn money. The work is hard, tiring, and very tiring, especially in the hot season,” Mr. Khoa shared.

At construction sites, workers work hard in the scorching sun to meet deadlines.

Wiping the sweat from his face, Mr. Bui Van Dao (residing in Thanh Nho commune, Thanh Chuong district, Nghe An) said: "The past few days have been terribly hot, I've been sweating profusely all the time."
